On Street Parking Concessions for
Holders of Blue Badges
The national scheme allows:
- Badge holders to park free of charge on single or double yellow
lines for up to 3 hours except where there is a ban on loading
or unloading
- Badge holders to park free of charge for an unlimited period
of time on streets where others may only park for a limited time
Contravention of the above regulations by overstay or improper parking are
dealt with by Council's Parking Attendants
- Badge holders may park free of charge and without time limit
within the City Centre Controlled Parking Zone at locations where
the City Council operate on street pay and display parking. Parking
Attendants employed by the City Council deal with contravention
of the regulations (e.g. not parking within marked bays) applicable
to on street pay and display parking.
